I look forward, to seeing  this very exciting, still awaiting the announcement of who is the winner of the Champion of Champion’s. The Horse & Hound Facebook post to the voting url link had 91 shares, 1,156 likes and 48 comments in 48 hours. I am the nominee for Barnsby for the British Equine Trade Fair, T.S.M sponsored rider of the year, a person who has made an  outstanding contribution to the equine industry. That is judged by a professional panel and the winner declared at the BETA Dinner, 16th February 2014.

On 4th February 2014, Royal Mail issue a set of stamps called “Working Horses”. This is inspired Britain’s leading first day cover producer Buckingham Covers, to create a tribute to the Clydesdale Horses each first day cover (collectors edition envelope) is a limited edition with investment potential, because Buckingham covers often go up in value over time. But more important than investment, it is beautiful. The photograph features a breath taking picture of a galloping horse, with the 6 new stamps post marked on their issue date at  “Clydesdale Lanark” The wording is in Gold Blocking. Award winning designer, Cath Buckingham say’s “I chose the picture for this cover because I loved the sense of freedom of the horse galloping for fun, in contrasted with the stamps, that show the horses working hard in disciplined fashion”. A limited number also available personally signed by comedian and actor Martin Clunes. He is the President of the British Horse Society. And recently confessed his love for Clydesdale Horses, when he presented Horse Power, and Heavy Horse Power for ITV.
Prices start at £13.95p + post and packing. Early ordering is recommended as Buckingham covers tend to sell out.
You can buy securely on line.
